Ebony/Jet Showcase was a talk show presenting conversations with black Americans in the fields of entertainment, sports and business. In 1983 the show began as Ebony/Jet Celebrity Showcase, but after a one-year hiatus it returned to syndication with a shortened title and a format that was expanded to include segments on diet, fashion and health.
Ray was a guest on 30 November 1985. He also appeared on 4 April 1986 (with Kim Fields, Maurice White and Mother McClaney; hosted by Greg Gumbelo and Deborah Crable) and on 23 June 1989.
