The UK version of
Real.com until a few years ago linked to an article, stating that "On Nov. 13 [1997], Ray Charles will hit another milestone in his life when he hosts his first online chat on Rhino Records' website. Starting at 9:30 p.m. (EST), Charles, one of music's most versatile, soulful and energetic performers will field questions from fans."
The chat was a promotion for Rhino's release of the box set
Genius & Soul: The 50th Anniversary Collection.
