"Soul legend Ray Charles has been signed by Warner Bros. Records to an exclusive contract. To mark the occasion, his new label threw a party for him at Ma Maison restaurant [...].Warner Bros. Records chairman of the board Mo Ostin and keyboardist Joe Sample were among those who turned up for the party. Later in the evening, superstar producer Quincy Jones - a friend and collaborator of Charles since they were teen-agers in Seattle - dropped by, and the two hugged".
