On 14 September 1981 Ray Charles was headlining the Festival of the French daily newspaper L'Humanité, in Paris. The day before, the TF 1 News announced his performance, and showed how "Ray Charles makes his entry [on stage, for a rehearsal]; He's accompanied on his way to his piano; He begins to sing; [...] Arrival garbage truck". The raw materials of this 2-minute clip recently emerged in my inbox. It shows aforementioned intro, and brief sequences of Let The Good Times Roll and How Long Has This Been Going On. The concert took place in a tent.

Mariano Ortiz, the L'Humanité music critic, wrote:

Le corps de Ray Charles oscille à la perpendiculaire du clavier. Ce mouvement de pendule d’ordinaire perceptible aux seuls premiers rangs se voit plus que de loin […]. Des corps allongés et comme engourdis par une sorte de félicité domestique se laissaient subjuguer cependant que devant les barrières dans un coudoiement familier la foule tapait du talon en cadence. […] Ray Charles, pris dans un costume à galon commandait à notre rythme intérieur avec sa manière de passer du suave au sauvage. De couper les élans et de relancer dans une course qui se mêle le rock au jazz.
