Ray performed at the edition of 1994 (on April 22), which was dedicated to the African-American male. The show was recorded at the Paramount Theater in New York City. It was aired by Fox on 7 June 1994. The program was directed by Bruce Gowers and hosted by Vanessa Williams and Sinbad.
