Ray Charles On Piano & Organ On Quincy's Got A Brand New Bag (1965)

Quincy's Got A Brand New Bag was originally issued on Mercury, SR 61063; in February 1966. The pictured CD is a recent Japanese import release. The album was recorded at Ray's RPM studios in LA, from 24 to 27 November 1965. Ray engineered. In most sources Ray is credited for playing piano/organ during the first and third sessions, but - based on Ray's own testimony - discographer Joël Dufour only attributes Ray's piano playing to Baby Cakes.
However, Ray's distinct style of the organ playing can be easily recognized.
